You've really twisted your logic on this one. The body of your piece doesn't support your thesis statement about the wretched state of affairs in American society. You complain of how we've become an insensitive group driven only by the demographics of capitalism, but then you point to the firing of two DJ's as evidence of America's insensitivity. How does that work? Apparently, enough of us--maybe even most of us--dislike the goons bent on displaying their reprehensible chic because the radio station did remove the two jackasses after a public outcry. Which is it? Either Americans reject such reprehensible displays, or they don't! D-Man

What sort of human beings are that inhumane? It defies comprehension. Thank you for expressing so well what I hope millions of Americans still believe. Until we quit buying what the purveyors of raunch are selling, we won't make it past the next 50 years.
