Excellent thoughts
some keys I've discovered. In no way would I consider myself the excellant parent, and I'm not sure what the definition would be. But I've noticed in my wizardly fashion that if you believe in your kids, and tell them that constantly along with plenty of I love yous. Though those words should not be used infront of their friends. The minute you tell a kid they are no good they will become no good. Despite what people think, kids do value their parents opinions if they are given as a matter of concern and a desire to help you kid survive a trecherous journey. Being a partent is doing the best that you can to love and guide your child down the right paths when there are so many things trying to pull them down the wrong paths. But it is sure worth all the effort, sacrafice, and tears when that child becomes a young man or woman and they put their arms around you and say thanks. Just keep that goal in mind. That's what being a parent is all about. And I have no doubt that someday you will be privilidged to receive that parents Oscar.
