Really i like to watch the british Parliament meetings?
I love the way they jump up like puppets in front of Tony Blair. I do admit the parliament do ask some tough penetrating questions unlike our congress who sit on their asses twiddling their thumps while waiting to meet with a lobbyist from some company wanting preferential treatment with their palms greased.

Chris or Damon? When are the british ever going to get to baghdad or are they
still in southern iraq sipping tea and telling corny jokes.

The TV war.  Admittedly, it would be wrong to judge the outcomes of the war in Iraq.  All TV companies bombarded us with propaganda and bullshit.  We might learn about what actually happened sometime in the future, when the hype and fuss dies down.  Until then, stick with watching FRASIER or Eastenders.

Don't ask me man, I'm a fool I tell 'ya.  On a serious note though, no, sorry, I am a fool.  I feel so ashamed.  Don't listen to Damon Leigh, he's British - they're all full of shit.  Wait a minute, I'm British...  sorry.

Tell em chris2303

What is wrong with television all of a sudden?  That's the $2.99 question of the day.

Hmmm...

Short, succinct observations about the world around you are fine, as far as they go. Really.

But I'm afraid you also need to incorporate an element, even just a sliver, of contextual relevence.

So, 10/10 for observation, 0/10 for relevence.

Try again?

How Wrong One Post Can Be...

I never had you down as a member of the 'I Believe Everything I See On TV!!' brigade, Zephyr. You disappoint me.

But clearly you haven't thought this through, have you? You have yet to realise that the famous quote (H.R.M?) - "There is only such a thing as a free press to those who own one" - is laden with truth. Five men control 80% of the worlds media, and they all work with governments around the world to get an agreed world view broadcast across global networks. That's why politically-dangerous civilian casualties have been minimised in number, trivialised by coverage, so that we can all sleep easy, safe in the knowledge that 'we' liberated Iraq with the minimum of bloodshed. Well, thank goodness for that!

Or, you may like to consider an alternative viewpoint, as expressed in this excellent article. It's not conspiracy stuff. It just IS.

Oh, you still think the media is free and unbiased? Never censored in this enlightened day and age?

Wake up, dude. With respect, people like you who swallow this shit whole are as much a part of the problem as those who spew the shit. (Or is that a mixed metaphor?) Take away Big Media's audience, take away the public trust they so openly abuse, in effect take away their license to operate, and watch truth and transparency sweep across world events.

THEN we'll see a real difference.

D
