bb, i n t r e s t i n g, yeeeessss....interesting. But naughty. It's why I
grouped them. They followed one another out of my library book bag, onto the cassette player and it was almost too much for this old lady in one week's time!

telynor, Bride of the Rat God, shall search it out, too. Thanks for stoppin
g by and commenting. I know that you Will Follow your nutritionist's plan and will succeed. If more of us did that, we would spend less down time due to ill health. When I followed her plan the family said that I looked better, sounded better and got more done, more happily. True, too true. Now, where did I put her instructions about flax seed oil, calcium and omega 3's?

maj, Reamy, San Diego, okay, will go search it out. NOT that I really
enjoyed Barker's book.....not my old woman style, tho' I would have liked it when I was younger. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for your kind words of encouragement. The only Clive Barker that I've ever really read was Imagica which was a very unusual fantasy novel. About the old hollywood -- I think you would like Barbara Hambly's Bride of the Rat God, which is a very well researched and written book of Hollywood in the 20's.

VoxPop, uneasy, yes. Very uneasy AND embarrassed. I just take books
off of the library shelves, those which I have not read before or those which I can't remember reading and so, I get quite a variety in my reading. I don't think that I would have chosen this one from Barnes and Noble for example....to purchase.

thanks LobaLoca, I couldn't look you in the eye afterwards and and and we
will not discuss the book together, either, as that would also be too embarrassing!

Very nice reviews. . .

I've not read Barker's Coldheart Canyon yet. Some of his past stuff had gripped me good.

Barker has a talent for keeping readers uneasy. I recall a time when they used to call him "The British King" alluding to a syle of writing that rivaled Stephen King. He never quite hooked me, though. I'll have to give this a look and see what's changed.

Thank You,

Lobita Mia, nooooo, don't. I was afraid that this post might make people
want to buy and read Clive's naughty book......thanks for reading and yes, go read your Auel books. I liked her first a bit and then it all feel apart and turned into a sexy silly thing in the second book.
