Do you imply that corruption is a Republican only sport?

I’ll cite just ONE example of potential abuse of office while a Demoncrat was in office. Admiral Crowe was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and retired as the most senior Admiral while Mr. Clinton occupied the White House. Shortly after his retirement ceremony Crowe became president of a small bio-tech firm that had no track record, no products, and no discernable background that the public knew of. Yet, this company was able, in very short order, to convince the State of Michigan to sell a state owned research and production lab that had been losing money for years.

Within weeks of the sale the US government awarded that very same lab a multi-million dollar contract to produce an anthrax vaccine for a flat per dose price. Shortly after that the lab screamed it could not comply with the flat rate pricing and was successful in getting even more millions.

I’m not saying there was any conspiracy; that would be foolish and apt to land my butt in court or in jail. But the facts are verifiable and bear consideration Corruption is the silent partner of any government that maintains a standing army.

Don't Forget Cheney!

He left Haliburton (sp?) with a $20 million handshake so he could run in the elections. And now, we find his old company has just been awarded a multi-million dollar contract to rebuild the Iraq that Anglo-American forces have just trashed.

Pure coincidence, though, I'm sure.
