The pay sure does suck, tho. For having to put up with 'that' kind of stuff.
I'm glad to be out. Looked bad upon. and starting to reach my hopes of becoming a writer.

And please accept my thanks to you for your service as a Police Officer. A police officer is too often maligned by the system; most officers should be treated as a hero. (And paid more, too!)

As you may,,,or may not know. I'm a former Police Officer.
My CCW expired this year. and now, as a 'civilian',, I have to jump thru the hoops all from scratch.

Virginia is a "Shall Issue State" The courts have to issue a Concealed Handgun Permit to all citizens without asking why so long as they are not felons or mentally deficient. One must also take a gun safety course (about three hours and around $40, and pay $45 for the permit. It takes about 45 days (max) to have it issued after application).

I've spent endless hours training with my sidearm. Only to have the government tell me that I can't carry it everyday.
Whatever happened to the days when men carried Rapiers at thier side, also?
