I went over to fictionaddiction.net myself, for the writing prompts. They have a writing prompt I've been through - being stuck in a snowstorm for a week. (1967, January, Chicago. Those who were there at that time know what it was like.)

That's what I would change about my parents as well. Amazing what an impact alcohol can have on one's life, especially children.
