I'm with you on God giving life meaning. Can't remember who else I said this to recently, but I can't figure out the meaning of life minus the existence of God. If life is just a cosmic "accident" -- meaning we're all existing accidentally -- what possible meaning can there be in that?

I don't think you can teach people, meaning, as you say, however, when they are willing to see it, willing being the operative word, it can be seen in others who can then point the way.

Doesn't life have meaning...
...simply because it exists? Nothing exists without a purpose, even if we can't see that purpose.
