I love your line, "patina of plausibility." Well written blog. Bush's speech and answers to the media last night made me feel a little embarrassed for him. No one in the current administration has convinced me that Iraq was a good idea, and I'm a pretty conservative person. I didn't see much passion in his speech. The man is no good at answering simple, direct questions. I won't be voting for Kerry though. I guess I'll vote libertarian.

Kerry will be a vast improvement.
Actually Kerry will bring a significantly higher IQ, a maturity and experience of having been in a war, courage and the intent to make things better for all Americans and not just the rich.
I expect that you may be surprised how much better a Kerry presidency will be.

You're right on (so to speak). This guy can't talk, much less tell the truth. The good news is that it's becoming obvious to even Republicans now. The bad news is that Kerry isn't much of an improvement.
