I understand completely, Abuelita.

What you do is write everything in a Word file first, and copy and paste. (If you haven't done that, go and do it in reverse.  That’s always good practice to protect your work.) Search Writer's Market online or find a book that fits what you want to do (they represent all categories).  I'm also researching markets that may like you, so I will let you know if I find anything.  Once you have 5 or 10 stories that you really like, find out the proper format or other submission criteria (agent required or not, request their guidelines, etc.) and send it off.  Once you get attention, you can finish the stories then and blog for a little while sometimes. We will miss you, but we will buy your book and totally celebrate your victory.  You can do it, Abuelita, you were meant to tell your stories to the world.  It all adds up.  Your life, your voice, your gift, your spirit.  And now, a bunch of virtual angels to echo your praises.  Rock on, mama!

Temple, I may have to leave blogit to do it, because I write too much

here, taking time away from serious things, however, somedays I only write here, so what am I to do?

Blogit makes me think more concisely, write in a pared down way, stopping ramblings which bore readers. This site lends itself to short stories and short subjects.

bb, there are probably many more sweeps in your area than in mine. I was
only the third in my city and had the other two out for a few beers to pick their experienced brains. Then I proceeded to use all of my business expertise, learned in business classes and from that favorite husband and from books, and took over the number one spot in the city and stayed there for seven years, with five sweeps or so, all women, working for me......fun. The stories that I could tell!
