Healthy food
Brown rice is fine - but it's slow. I agree that fibre is good, but don't become a slave to it. As long as you get your 5 every day i.e. eat five portions of fruit and veg each day you will be o.k. if you have a good high fibre breakfast - good for your concentration. I've just from back from a total immersion French experience where someone else - a Frenchman - did all the cooking. The food was delicious, but I don't think he'd heard of fibre - people were sneaking out in search of bran flakes. However on the whole the French eat very well and live healthily - almost no real obesity to be seen. they just make sure that their food is good, as local as possible and tastes great. This seems to work, so maybe we are trying too hard.
Writemaggie - exzema and asthma seem to be things that most people grow out of so I guess you are quite young. May you enjoy a long and healthy life.
