How about "MASH?"
Comedy and drama, life and death, comings and goings, deep philosophical thought and outright siliness, important issues and raunch -- and it even had a priest, though he was Irish American and a boxer rather than Filipino and a basketball player. Close as you're going to get, I think.

I think it would have been "Golden Girls"...
They had everything and it made you laugh and want to return to the same thing over and over and over.
