maj, yes, sequels, now that's an optimistic man. I find that I do better

with short stories and should maybe just do a collection of those, like Jumai, forming an overall story by the end of the tales. Saving HALF for the sequel.

Having lived eight lives like you, maj, I am over full of stories, vignettes, as it were.

You put it all in, then carefully pare it down
like a pie crust. Save the bits for your sequel!

beachbelle, I should put everything that I am and know into the book,
shouldn't I? It's the least that a writer can do, to be authentic to their experiences and life's learning. Thanks for the compliments. And YOUR book? Waiting to move to begin it? After the unpacking is undone......

What a beautiful story. You have a unique gift. Are you planning to put all of these stories in your book? You should you know and I mean that like I meant my post today...

Temple, when interviewing for new sweeps for my business, I looked for

'Tricas". I wanted women who stood out in a conversation, who wouldn't ccall lme whining about some chimney challenge during their work day, but would 'handle it' on their own. She always did. She helped me and another sweep named Tina to carry our weakest sweep, who needed care but was struggling so hard to change herself and her competence level in life, to gather experiences out of the norm, that we all didn't mind much. She studied drama and wanted to 'be' different people, to use it in her future work.

Thanks for reading. Let's go white water rafting!! We'll all tell stories around the night's fires.

I knew girls like Trica.
The people that were our white water guides always had great stories about what they did in the off season.  That gave us a lot to talk about when the river was quiet in places.  Ooooh, that makes me want to go right now!  Hi Abuelita!  Hope you are well.  :)

So, Wiley, what did you think of Trica? She was a white water raft guide in
the off seasons of sweeping, extremely competent and wonderfully funny.

Wiley, 1st sign of old age, mixing up holidays. Thoughts of this elfin girl

followed me this week. I shuld try to find her and call her, haven't seen her in almost twnety years. She was my best sweep, could have taken my business away from me, if she'd wanted, except that she hated paper work. I did, too, but could make myself do unpleasant things. She could not.

The Merriest of Happy Easters to you, Wiley. Having Green Eggs and Ham on Sunday?

Thanks for reading me, even when I'm 'calendarically' challenged.
