Three games do not a season make. The Tigers may be forced back down to durting their three-game home stand with Minnesota that starts later today. But until they lose one, they've got the best record in MLB. Anaheim is the only other undefeated team, and they've played one less game.
Your evaluation of the situation is sound, if conservative. I'll be sadly disappointed if the Tigers haven't won 60 by early September. My prediction of 73+ wins will be nearly impossible to reach if they have to play .600 ball the last four weeks of the season.

Three games, three wins. Gotta give 'em their props....
but I still say they have to cross 50 wins to even think about calling this season a success.
