Re: wow, what a beautiful work
I visited this poem of mine again this evening to find your post dated today! I was shocked. I wrote this years ago. It is true. Our daughter was shaken by a babysitter in 1998 when she was 5 months old. This poem was something I wrote one night when my heart was extremely heavy as it is often over the years. Our daughter Elizabeth is now 9 years and has come a long way. The doctor's at Duke can not believe how far she has come. Still she is dependent on my wife and I every daily function. She is truly beautiful, inside and out. When I saw your comment it affected me that someone out there read this all these years ago on this exact day. Whoever you are, you have made my Thanksgiving! Bless you!
