- Go to Tigers Win! Tech Loses!
My point exactly.
Then add to that the fact that they've added a legitimate superstar in Pudge Rodriguez, three other solid major league caliber starters in Rondell White, Fernando Vina, and Carlos Guillen, to legitimate star Dmitri Young and budding stars Carlos Pena, Alex Sanchez, and Eric Munson. The other position starter, Bobby Higginson, is under pressure to return to his offensive effectiveness of years gone by, or lose his job to young slugger Craig Monroe. Inge and Infante, along with Monroe, good enough to start last season, consider themselves fortunate to make the team as backups. Other subs from last season, and newly signed guys who were good enough to make better teams than last year's edition of the Tigers, have been relegated to the minors or released. And I haven't even stressed the addition of Johnson, Urbina, Levine, Yan, and Colyer to a young pitching staff that was bound to be improved without the importation of a handfull of additional major caliber vets. The Tigers would be improved if they had decided to stand pat. With the new guys, they're actually competitive in the weak AL Central.

Well the Tigers should
be the most improved team because they have the most room for improvement.
