No, I don't think so. As more companies try to set up shop abroad there will be more competition for the best people and thus an increase in salaries. So the professionals abroad may not be as cheap soon and there are so many other hidden costs to doing business abroad. 

And I think we need to do things to help the US be just as competitive so that labor costs in that country are not such a significant advantage. The fact is that we have a lot of leverage as the US consumer...this is the market that most companies are selling to or want access to.

I think we need to make sure that we don't compensate companies that are sending jobs abroad so that it is no longer as cheap, and that we train US students and workers in skills that make them more competitive even when costing more, that we make health care less expensive for all involved. The list goes on.

I don't know all the answers yet. Have just started thinking about it since I've been hearing about it every day on Lou Dobbs and it has become such a sensitive issue in Election 2004.
