Irfanview...

can only work well with all the plugins.  If you have downloaded the plugins and had it installed into your computer, the next thing is to make Irfanview do its job.

Irfanview was intended to be a graphic manipulator.  You can edit your *.gif and *.jpg pictures with it.  For example:  if you need to create thumbnails of your photos, open it up in Irfanview, click on "Image" and choose resize/resample.  A dialogue box appears to ask you how large or how small you would like the image to be and it resizes the image according to your specifications.

Another example (and this only works with the plugins).  I can create a *.bmp file and have Irfanview convert it into a *.gif or *.jpg file. 

There are many possibiities.  If you have a problem, click on "Help".  I think www.irfanview.com may also have tutorials for it.

I downloaded irinfanview, but find it most difficult to use. Any
suggestions.  s.

be discerning with the things you download.  Besides, Irfanview down't require too much memory.
