Ummmmm...
Freedom from religion is like saying freedom from gender.  I have an article about this here...

As a pagan, I appreciate your call for acceptance and tolerance. Pagan, now a days, is a general term that encompasses a multitude of practices and beliefs. Cults on the other hand denotes a controlling religious organization that removes their members from society. Members of Cults may interact minimally with the other people around but they maintain as much separateness as possible. Those that rise in the ranks are generally the people that manage to completely be apart from the real world. The real danger presented by cults is to the children raised in them. They grow up having no clue how to survive in the real world. They spend their life being forced to be different in a detrimental way. They are not choosing to be themselves but are forced to be like everyone in their cult and to stand out as an example of how wonderful their cult is to others.

Pagans are generally very accepting of the choices others make and many do not stand in the way of their children choosing the path that is right for them as they grow up.

Sorry to get on a soap box here. I was raised in a cult and I believe that with the right to freedom of religion there should come, the right to freedom from religion.

Okay heading to sleep now. Good post. Night.

Now, now. Most of my pagan friends are actually men. And they're all a
little too eccentric to be part of a cult! PL

Aha...
so it IS gender related!  Hmmm.  I wonder what is their relationship to a cult we have here in the Philippines where they have a priestess and it puts itself against all that the "friar"-religion stands for.

My friends who are Pagan have very organized ceremonies, rites and beliefs.

My friends who are Pagan do believe in organized religion, just not the male dominated big six. PL

Love Thou Neighbor

As Christians we are expected to be God-Like.  God Loves Everyone and God Created every living thing! Right? Therefore he created these "non-believers"  As Christians it is our duty to witness to those around us.  I think you do that Well here on Blogit.

Tanya Tucker had a song many years ago that said it all "STEP UP NON BELIEVERS"

Thanks for your post
