MSN Messenger...
Do you have it at startup?  What I do is I keep MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ out of my startup list.  In fact, the best way is to keep StartUp as clean as possible.

Friar Tuck, I did increase the memory at my son's last visit here.

He added a new memory card and everything was so much better for about four months.

This all began when I downloaded an MSN updated MSN 8 to my computer. It came crashing down when I hit the install button. It somehow shot a silver bullet into my computer's heart. They told me that it was my computer and when I called eMachines the manufacturer, they said that MSN 8 had crashed many computers and that they had received many calls. Who to believe? My tech said that I would probably never know what happened.

I just have to accept the present problems and work on purchasing a new computer, I think.

Physical Memory
Benzinha, I think you should ask someone to give you a larger physical memory for your computer.  Say "physical memory" to your technician -- he'd know what that means.

Friar Tuck, if only this would help me. I used to have RegCleaner, but lost

it in the first set of crashes, not having a floppy back up of it, it's gone now.

Also, I just add the software that I use daily, printer, server, camera, word and cd burner. Today, after turning on the computer, when I touched my mouse the computer turned itself off!!

Sometimes, when it finishes opening my home page at my server, it turns itself off.....so tiring. I believe that I must find a new computer that can be bought on time payments.....They say that Celeron memory, is it??, is being dumped and so computers with it are cheaper now....read something about this in my PC World magazine.
