No, no, no!
Ariala is a fabulous writer. And, in my opinion, your friend's own opinion of her was quite shallow... I mean, doesn't know what Blogit is about or what it's used for can certainly not validly describe the money Ariala's been making! Sure, you come here to write and express yourself, right? Share things with others, but also to make spare change, and she's made a Helluva more than spare change!! There are three types of writers: 1. Commercial - 2. Emotional - 3. Informative(rarely but, sometimes, all three) Ariala, I'd say, falls into the category of commercial; she's like a celebrity around here

Bravo
After-all, not every art lover loves all art. Keep up the good work and do not let it get to you. I personally could care less what people think of my work. I have been praised and slammed on BlogIt and I have only been here a couple of monts. Oh Well.

Fig, it does seem like I illicit strong reactions from people. Sometimes I

do it on purpose.

In "real" life I'm a quiet person who minds her own business and is rarely seen or heard in crowds.  I have put on a "role" here and I realize in so doing, people either love or hate me.  I can't please everyone, that's for sure.

Sorry your friend feels as she does, and though it hurts my feelings that someone might react this way, I console myself in the fact that I write for a living and people's opinions, though hurtful at times, cannot take away the fact that I have two degrees, a great job in my field and freelance work I love.  In other words, people's opinions do not change what I know about myself and who I am.

I appreciate you posting this, however, but will not change my persona here to please the masses or even one blogger.  I must write and blog as I know how and be who I am or who I "put" on at the time.  This is what has brought success.  People either respect me for it or they don't.  What can I do more than that?

You are successful
Ariala, I hope that my point was clear in my blog that regardless of the opinion of your work. You were successful at provoking a reaction which is something that all writers hope to do.

Tell your friend I hope she finds what she's looking for in other writers,

and that I'm glad she joined.  Because she chooses to judge me on a few isolated blogs, I'm afraid she's missing out on some of my blogs which are much better.  But I'm not here to convince her or anyone else who despises my posts, to read me.
