Those who take from others usually feel inadequate to the task. Or are in
truth, inadequate to write very well themselves. The reason I write so fucked-up is because I know no one will want to copy it. As for you, I think it is more traumatic to be caught at an early age. Usually the adult will sort of find reasons for doing it. The thing to take from the experience is, you did care. You were sincerely sorry. You, unlike so many people, knew right from wrong. l.s.

I really had never shared that with people close to me. Only my parents, the teacher and the kids involved knew anything about it. It's not so much that I hadn't forgiven myself, it's more that when you do something deceitful like I did, it sticks with you. Not on a continuous basis, but whenever I write something, especially a poem, I think about it. Thanks again!

I know it may not count for much but......
I am hereby giving you permission to forgive yourself. You paid your dues. That you fess up now says a great deal about you. If you tell the story again don't associate it with guilt but only in the hope that someone else may avoid that unpleasant experience.

Andrea, at least it happended at a young age.........
when the repricussions of it were really minimal, compared to what happens to adults who do the same............
