Your evaluation of the Heels is right on the button.  Bill Guthridge, in three years, almost destroyed a program Dean Smith rebuilt and nurtured for over 30 years.  Then Matt Doherty was left holding a short-on-talent bunch of undisciplined brats.  The carry-over from Guthridge is still being felt -- no senior class except for walk-ons.  Roy will get the job done because they'll give him more than the three years they gave Matt (who could have finished the job if they had honored his contract).  I'm just afraid that both Felton and McCants are going to want to go pro because of their press clippings.

I'm sorry you'll miss today's game.  I don't blame you, though.  I wish your high school team luck.  I covered high school basketball a couple of years and, frankly, it was a more rewarding experience than the college beat.

Your team has a lot of talent, but is a little undisciplined.  Don't worry.  Roy will get you there soon.  And I'm dreading that.  As for my boys, they make me so mad, but they always do something to bring me back into the fold.  Finally, I agree with you on coach K.  After the 2001 Final Four, I swore off college basketball, because of the terrible job of refereeing I witnessed in that game against Maryland and the "Instant Classic" at Cole earlier that year.  I'm going to miss today's game.  My high school has made it to the finals again.  Hopefully, they'll show us a little on the big screen at Comcast.
