I must admit
I didn't really read ScottU's stuff, so I didn't notice what he was doing. Seems he's been rumbled by a few now though!

Don't go soft on us, Scriber. (Bet you've heard that phrase from a girl or two.

Of course but it can get excessive. I pointed out eight of the ten top
blogs were not writing blogs but blogs about other bloggers, and to me, that is a tad excessive. It, the need, or perceived need to be highly ranked, causes much of the problem. In a way I feel sorry for the little guy, even though he did have some very irritating ways about him. s.

*laugh* But that would kill my highest ranked blog, scriber!!!
I don't mind the fraternizing - it's half of what makes this a cool network to be a part of. What I mind is when one of our members doesn't live up to the basic expectations we all had when we came here. No one's asking you to be Hemingway - just be yourself. It's not too much to ask.

Perfectly said!!!
I agree 100%!! I just posted pretty much the same thought. What can we count on as writers, if not that our work will remain ours. He needs to go, whether he admits it or not!!

Katray: I'm with Tamara--Don't feel bad about it. It was good writing. It just wasn't his writing. He's the one who should feel bad.

One probably shouldn't be fraternal with other people. As a reporter, I
made it a habit not to socialize, or get too friendly with those I would be called upon to write about. I think there has been altogether too much "fan club" and "my favorite blogger" type of writing at Blogit. Perhaps a good rule would be that no member can mention anothr member in a post. Leave that to the comments section. S.

Passion, today;s society has one theme!
Let no one be held accountable for their actions........blame is put on everything other than the individual who commited the wrong. I shudder to think about the youth today..when they become adults...........what they have witnessed......and that is.........I CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING!!!

Very good points, Passionflower..
Especially about the Catholic church. Actually a few members of my family did quit because of this travesty.
As for ScottU, I thought at first if he admitted, apologized and never did it again, he could still continue. But I realize now it would be meaningless because he has violated our trust and respect. And for those reasons, he should not be here anymore, either by his choice or Shaycom's. I certainly feel like a fool for praising "his work". Good post!!
