True, but it will be made up by that time with a less leisurely start once all of the team's get rolling. By the end of August all of the races, for first and last, will be established and roaring to a fast finish. It'll still wind up in September so that October can belong to the playoffs and World Series.

Remember - the season is delayed a week this year.
End of August last year will be first week of September this year.

At least you're considering the possibility that they are no longer the worst team in baseball. Third seems a very real possibility to me. They have no lock on it, but they're improved enough to easily escape the cellar and another 100-loss season. I'd settle for 63 wins if I had to, I'd rather have 83, and I think reality will be somewhere in between those extremes. 50 wins should come in August. Late in the month if they stink. Middle of the month if they live up the my expectations. Early in the month if they borrow the mirrors KC used last year and actually have a shot.
