Amen, patrolsergeant
King devotes a whole section of the book to a writer's tools. I consider his book one of my tools. He is also high on Strunk & White, as am I since long before I ever heard of Stephen King. I'll probably discuss The Elements of Style in a future post.

Thanks. I know we can't make them drink, but sooner or later they have to if they want to survive as writers. All we can do is try to make it easier for them to survive.
