They miss out on things and they may lack things to occupy themselves but being on the outside waiting can be nearly as hard. When someone you love gets in trouble you are faced with many choices. Is it worth waiting for? How long are you willing or even able to wait? Are there children involved and if so how will it affect them? Do you believe it’s a pattern and if so do you believe that they can change and if not are you willing to deal with them being in and out? The choices and fears go on and on and sometimes it helps to know that you aren’t alone.
For those out there with me on the other side of the glass I want to let you know that you are not alone in this.
