Hanzon Science - Blogithttp://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/HandsOnScience/I developed the idea of Hanzon Science (Hanzon = Hands on) because I was dismayed at the way teachers taught science, always talking about it and never really understanding what science is, or how to "do" science. How can they teach what they don't know? My aim is to encourage teachers to teach Holistic science using Hanzon methods. I want to provide awareness of what Holistic science is, and provice recognition and a forum for those who teach it, and set up a place where you can come to download free or inexpensive, high-value hands-on (Hanzon) materials so you can actually do science and not just talk about it.
I want to link you to places and websites that promote hands-on teaching and I want you to contribute your own hands-on inventions or activities that kids (of any age) can enjoy and do without fancy equipment or a federal grant.
My dream of science teaching at any level is to have a room full of tables that looks more like a shop than a classroom or lecture hall, where thhourly12000-01-01T12:00+00:00The Dual Nature of Science - and what has to be done to deal with ithttp://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/HandsOnScience/636451I founded the HanzonScience™Center and wrote this Teachers Manual because I don’t want to just sell anothereducational toy. Star legal experts lined up to defend him, and a star prosecutor opposed them. Many thought that the issue was...British Warninghttp://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/HandsOnScience/629870The following is what experts have been fearing, and it is deadly serious. It's nothing very original, except for the spelling. Simply put, it reflects this saying I heard: Hear something, you might remember it. Read something, you might be able to repeat it. Then...
