KOOKA DOESN'T BELIEVE IN THE GOD I LIKE

HE JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND This god has a place of worship that millions of pilgrims visit every year. People can visit his birthplace, and where he was buried, and of course, many believers believe he is not dead. They also believe there is salvation in him. People bring back holy artifacts from... BILLY IDOL'S BANDS

Hey! I'm in agreement with him on many of the bands he chose as favorites. Past the 80's, though, I'm mainly lost on what was happening. That's because most of the music is what's called manufactured -- stock formula songs and music tailored to make a pretty face famous without really having to sing... Sign in to see full entry.

AMERICAN POP

BAKSHI'S FINEST MOVIE? Back around 1980 it came out. Of course, what made me think of it was Bob Dylan's DON'T THINK TWICE, which is one of the songs in the movie. Animated, of course. This brings up the subject of Frank Frazetta, which I'll get to later, because Bakshi and Frazetta are good friends... Sign in to see full entry.

HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

I see a movie is coming ouit. I enjoyed the PBS TV series immensely, although I never read the series of books -- they have to be good to have inspired more media representations. This is where the computer, Deep Thought, is. It's a great comic adventure -- I think the reviewers will probably reveal... Sign in to see full entry.

Creedence and the Stones -- great bands that Slycy missed.

Two of my personal favorites: Creedence Clearwater Revival, particularly since John Fogarty's coming out with a new album and has decided to record and perform again. Theirs was an unique sound. But I wonder why SlyCy didn't include The Rolling Stones -- if you want to list the top bands of all... Sign in to see full entry.
