CHRISTIAN LITERALISTS TELL YOU TO BELIEVE THE BIBLE -- BUT THEN

They ignore certain parts of it and go on and believe what they want to believe even if certain parts of the Bible say differently. In the First Chapter of Revelation, for example, the writer says that he is writing about things that will "shortly come to pass", and I assume that he is talking soon... Sign in to see full entry.

Sorry -- didn't want to -- like why deal with prophecy -- except that the Book of Revelation IS NOT prophecy. It is an allegory and a metaphor dealing with the world around the author.
