Derrick says: Thank you!
I do keep my friends updated on the interest you all take in the accident and the very good wishes you conveyed for Derrick's speedy recovery. I told him: America and beyond is rooting for you!! That brought a smile to his face and he asked me to say thank you. Here our 'hero' is, but the real hero...

Last instalment from Samos
On to more pleasant matters. Derrick is comfortable enough and not in too much pain. We got him a wheelchair yesterday so it will be easier to move him around and otherwise he quite enjoys the attention and pampering. He would, wouldn't he? Anyway, back to Samos and our visit to a not well know but...

He dediced to do something on his ceiling fan and to reach it, climbed onto a kitchen chair instead of a step ladder....

Praise for an editor
I need to name a name: it's Jennifer Ciotta and she is the editor of the travel magazine. I already have one published article there and I submitted another one on the Turkish mountain village of Doganbey as it reminded me of the Great Gatsby and the valler of ashes. And this is the story why this...

A Turkish sense of humor
Ok, my friends, the entertainment continues. Yesterday I decided to buy a new pair of flip-flops to go to the pool as mine are a bit shabby. I made my way to a tiny shoe shop and to my surprise, the shop assistant was barefoot. I couldn't resist to ask him if this was because he didn't have faith in...
