Referrals

I know people have subscribed to BN through clicking one of my links, however, I haven't seen any of the so-called $5.00 we're supposed to get when that happens.

Has anyone else seen this referral money?

New Post for Richard's self-help page.

For anyone who has been reading my blog. I finally have a new posting. I apologize that it has been so long, but I had an emergency here during the last week. Richard

I Just Wanted To Share My LIfe...Is That So Bad?

I am definelty a newbie at this blogging thing.  My purpose of starting a blog was so I could quench a desire I have to share my life, loves, loses and daily ups and downs.Since starting my weblog on blogging network, I have had several entires deleted, and now come to find out after searching for my catagory "Mature Audiences", it no longer exists. At least it is not listed anymore with all the other catagories.

My question is WHY? I am not sure how much longer I will be hanging around the blogging network, if all I am doing is writing to myself.

Greetings

Just note to say hello. Any publishers in the house?

The Technical Problem that I was Having

The technical problem, I think, was not hitting the escape key after copy and paste to clear out the "desktop"; plus I need to get more RAM.  MemTurbo has a couple nice featuers:  One rescues you from memory outages, the other one, you "scrub" just as you're going on break and it changes you memory from 20% and approx. 20MB left to 45% and approx 50 MB free memory.  My husband has an important project this weekend, so rather than take to computer to have more RAM put in right away, I downloaded some memory management programs and tested them out this morning.  Also, I wait longer between "saves" on material I'm copying and pasting onto the Decoding Shakespeare blog.

And Another Thing

If I stood around all day thinking up nothing but one-liners (and then posting them) my statistics would be astronomical, too!  Because we seem to get credit every time we writers, ourselves, enter our blog.  Now, don't get me wrong (I admire Rodney Dangerfield, a lot, because he shows me how to stand up to hecklers) but I believe it's a good thing to be rewarded for constant editing, even if it is not what the owners and operators of this network intended....  And, there's no need to shout, in addition to complaining (unless you're not past about the age of twelve, or so.)...

Also, if I can't have more than one post, let me know how I can help get more "bandwidth" because I've got six months worth of research to share.  If I am limited, perhaps I should just think of this as an automated email system, rather than a developing alternative to print medium for publishing stuff.  It's true, it's a great platform for me to present some examples of my writing and to convince others that I'm not nuts in the process.  But my topic is way to complicated to limit it to a single blog.  It's more like a blog for each chapter, so to speak.  I am writing a book.  Submissions to publishers and sometimes to find an agent is "two chapters and an outline for the rest of the book."  If you all want me to go away because I'm using too many blogs, then fine, I'll go away.  It was nice seeing y'all.  Otherwise, let me know how I can help to develop this medium on reasonable terms for actual book writers, and not just public journals for exhibitionism purposes, or whatever.  I think this place is great, and will appreciate it more once I can understand how to avoid having an "add post" disappear on me, as happened to me this morning.  I lost a couple hours of work when this system went down....I also think that the advertising I am doing around my own town to get people and publishers and newspaper writers to read my "samples" should help this company to grow.  The way that my samples is organized is up to me, I believe.  Again, if you think my having five blogs is unacceptable, and I don't believe that the owners actually do (correct me if I'm wrong), I can leave, baby, just say the ----- word!

The Word "Remove" is Psycholgically Damaging to Our Causes

When you have a Favorites list, look at it, and see the subliminal message to "Remove," it gives the reader and writer the feeling that this posting should be removed.  I seriously suggest that the company rephrase this to "Remove from my favorites list."  And, I don't know if readers have access to this or not, but "Delete" gives the same feeling.  Please don't use that word when the non-writer is reading somebody else's post.  The company wouldn't be doing that, would it?
