ARDI stock is upgraded by analyst
UBS has upgraded ARDI. Also, S&P stock reports a fair valuation of ARDI at $6/share. Like I've already told reader before, this stock a good purchase on 5.87/share (my valuation).

Another good stock to buy: Owens and Minor (OMI)
I bought OMI for under 28$. I think it is a good value. This company has steadily grown earnings for the past 3 years that I've followed it. Check it out. BTW, my other recommendation, ARDI, is now priced above 5.90. I think its rock-bottom valuation is in the 5.80's. Earnings report is Feb 3rd.

ARDI is sellling below a conservative valuation of 5.87
Like the rest of the market, ARDI has given back the artificial gains of Nov-Dec. Those gains were due to fund managers pumping up their annual returns for their report cards. This is a good opportunity to buy ARDI and other stocks.

Now many people focus on dividends only. In the dividend discount model, one must assume that the only value is that received from the cold hard cash of paid out dividends and one's selling price. This method makes no attempt to truly value the firm. It just predicts future dividends and future sell...

How financial statements interrelate
It is useful to analyze companies by viewing their financials through an engineering framework. There is a logical flow from statement to statement, and the flow is applicable to every company. For example, when a company earns profits (earnings), what happens to these earnings? Where do they impact...

How financial statements are related
I want to start with the basics of valuation. I think that understanding the relationships among the financial statements is fundamental to valuation. It's hard to see the big picture if you just follow stocks on t.v. or the Journal. This is because these mediums only present bits and pieces of the...
