The room shook. Not since the 1983 earthquake has my apartment rocked from side to side. That was the force of the Israeli explosions in the southern suburbs of Beirut - three miles from my home - and the air pressure changed in the house yesterday morning and outside in the street the palm trees... About this Blog

I'm finding it increasingly appalling how the Bush/Blair 'partnership' merrily lead the world into a war with Iraq that virtually NO-ONE thought was justified. But this is not the end - merely the end of the beginning. There's much more to come if the warmongers get their way. Strip away the politiking and the various cover stories and smoke screens, and the stark reality is ugly and dangerous.
