George W. Bush is trying to lay-off the blame for his Iraq blunder now on an "intelligence failure." The truth is that it wasn't an "intelligence failure" it was "intelligence manipulation" by Bush and his neocon zealot advisors who wanted to invade Iraq for a variety of reasons, none of them... Why is it that anyone who deviates from the governments position on the war is subject to calumny and reprisals? In a democratic society, especially one with a Constitution that supposedly protects free speech, shouldn't anyone who condemns or punishes those who speak their mind be pariahs?
