A local news story just reported sounds like an episode of Mayberry RFD. A man from Florida was pulled over crossing the mountain under suspicion of DUI. He past the field sobriety test but when the officers looked into the car, he had a jar of moonshine sitting in plain sight. They searched the car and found 30 boxes of quart jars filled with moonshine. He told the officers he comes up here once a year or so to purchase the moonshine.
