WHY IN THE HELL IS OHIO A "MIDWEST" STATE?

First off, let's make one thing clear. I'm not knocking Ohio, nor the midwest. I've lived in Ohio for most of my life and I know there are many beautfiul states that occupy the midwestern part of our country.
