I Don't Want a God Who Would Go Around Killing People's Little Girls.
I was watching a church service on TV yesterday, and the preacher was going to town, all fire and brimstone and such, talking about the wrath of God, and it got me to thinking about a quote from John Spong. He said, "I don't want a God that would go around killing people's little girls. Neither do I want a God who would kill his own son. " I agree with Bishop Spong. I wouldn’t want a God like that either. I don’t want a God who picks sides. I don’t want a God who would cause death-laden floods...
