Poker as a Metaphor for Death

Previously, Lanny was learning from Death the loving job of assisting in transitions. In this installment, the learning continues... with a twist. On only my fourth transition as the “lead” (as a lead, I was responsible for taking the soul and for all communication, while Death stayed in the background and observed me), I had no one to lead because Death had a prior commitment.
