We Are All Divine

I just finished reading Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas by Elaine Pagels. In it she talks about the Secret Book of John (Apocryphon of John) and its explaination of the story of Adam and Eve. The Secret Book suggests that the story of Eve's birth from Adam's side is the story of the awakening of our spiritual capacity - our oneness with God.
