George Bush IS from Mars!

I couldn't believe the newspaper headline this morning: "Pres Bush wants to go to Mars." He also wants a permanent lunar space station. If he thinks this will be a popular idea, he is from Mars! Hey, I'm all for the exploration of space, but right now WE ARE BROKE! And it sure doesn't sound like... Sign in to see full entry.

The Women of Afghanistan are still suffering

You may already know that warlords with policies very much like the Taliban are still in control in parts of Afghanistan. And throughout the country they suffer the kind of abuse and indentured serviture to their husbands families that was largely going by the wayside before the Taliban. Young women... It's a Republican plot!

Right in the middle of Howard Dean's explanation of what he would do in Iraq, there was an unexplained test of the Emergency Broadcast System. You can't tell me that was a conincidence! Sign in to see full entry.

Presidential candidates on the radio today!

I wish, wish, wish I could have posted this in the early am, but I was busy getting holes punched in my jaw. The presidential candidates will be having only one (1) radio debate, and it will be on NPR's Talk of the Nation today. It's at noon Mountain time. So if you see this blog in the next 40... If Britney can do it, certainly gay people can!

A pragraphras of today's guest on Talk Of The Nation: This weekend Britney Spears got married for thirty-five hours. But gay people who have been together for thirty-five years can't exercise the same rights as Britney Spears did for thirty-five hours. Sign in to see full entry.

Idiot Hatred by Idiot Iranians

A few days ago in Pray With Bunny I requested prayers for the Iranians trapped in the earthquake rubble and the rescue workers who are trying to free them. Little did I know that their government was letting hate stand in the way of aid. No, it's not aid from the US they are rejecting. They asked... Sign in to see full entry.

Life in prison is, too, a serious sentence!

Many people interviewed on the news yesterday, including people who are not relatives killed by the Washington snipers, say that the life sentence for the teenaged sniper is not harsh enough. They would like to see him die. In the case of an eighteen-year-old, I think life in prison is definitely a... Sign in to see full entry.

Responses to "So what do you think them finding Saddam Hussein?"

What on earth possesses people to ask that question? Do they have a need to hear themselves talk? Do they secretly lust to be Pod Anchor-People? Are they hoping that you're secretly a CIA operative who can give them "the real scoop"? I can't think of a conversational response to that bizarre... Sign in to see full entry.

I never thought Al Gore would SOUND better than his speeches READ

This morning I heard about Gore's endorsement of Dean and I thought, "Wha.....???" Then today I heard part of Al Gore's Dean-endorsement speech on the radio. He was talking about Dean's stand on Iraq and I thought, "He has a point there." I thought I would get that quote and print it here. So I went... Sign in to see full entry.

Why you should vote no matter what

Today on Talk of the Nation the subject was voting. When I tuned in the discussion was about ways to get young people interested in voting. A 20-something woman phoned in and said that although she has always voted, some of her friends say that voting is useless because they are disgusted at always... Sign in to see full entry.
