Is it normal to be stressed?

I feel stressed all the time. I don't like it. It went away for a while and my life was peaceful and fun. A few months ago I got back into a relationship with a woman I dated for about 3 years. Around the same time I lost the job that I had been working at for a little over a year. Ever since those two occurences, my stress level has skyrocketed. She works nights and isn't home yet, 6:30 am. She's usually home at 6. I feel like it shouldn't bother me, but it does. She won't answer her phone, and... Sign in to see full entry.

Chess Date

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my chess date. His name is Patrick, he has a long grey beard and hair, thick glasses, rides a bicycle, and is the best chess player I have ever known. 40 years ago he was rated 2200 (really high, really really) and played in the tournament circuit in Spokane Washington. He is originally from Idaho. I love the world, that it's so small. I was born in a town not far from Spokane, bordering on Idaho. Coffee is brewed, table and chairs are set. He brings his own... Phone Call

Just got off the phone with my kids. They live in Australia. My son, Micah, just turned 10 on Saturday. He looks a lot like me and acts a lot like me. High energy, goofy, smart, handsome;o). My daughter, Lily, is 8. She's also a very smart child. Reads like an adult. She read me some of her book "Amelia James". Needless to say, it's very hard to live so far away from them. Intimidated

I haven't played my guitar on the street for a while. I really love doing it, it's a lot of fun. At some point, I got intimidated. I have only been learning to play the guitar and sing for about 2 years, a little while after I moved here to the Florida Keys. I have a musical background, I played the trumpet for 12 years and was quite talented. Therefore, I believe that I have been a fast learner on the guitar. The problem is, it's work. Putting In A New Lawn

Man, my hands sting. Little red ants live in my lawn. Apparently coming at their homes with a large metal hoe doesn't make them happy. Will be interesting to see how this lawn turns out. I've gone through the whole process in more temperate climes, can't really be that different. Bought a bag of Bermuda grass seed, a hoe, a rake, and a sprinkler. I think I have collected literally around 100 potted plants in the time I've lived here. Some are seedlings of the native trees and shrubs I'm trying... Sign in to see full entry.

This blog is turning out to be about me and people in my life and my doggie too! I am a guy in Seattle. I'm going to retire in a few years and if anything this is the story of how that is going to go- I only hope up!
