Starting Out

I always wanted to live in the country. My parents left their mid-west farm lives after the war and came west to settle in a soul-less suburban tract house. This seemed incomprehensible to me as a child, and honestly, I never quite forgave them for it. The Irish have a love for the land that surpasses all but their love of poetry, music and whiskey.
