Would modern day Christians kill Christ? Who was Jesus?

Was Jesus the Son of God? Did Jesus exist? What matters is that it seems true in the eyes of many. What was Christs purpose? I've seen many a quote from the Bible from a variety of Apostles but I'm still unclear as to what the teachings of Christ were. Was it peace and love? Was it "get straight... American loudmouth. Talk, talk, talk. He knows it all and enlightens people constantly. European pacifist doesn't say much. Does a lot more listening and asks a lot more questions. Does one guy know while the other tries to figure it out? Does anyone know anything? The American stands for capital punishment and abortion as well as a lot of other things. The European doesn't seem to stand for anything. They argue the Iraq war. They're having a conflict about a conflict. One must ask is the Iraq war a war?
