End of a great day

We went to see some fireworks over a small lake in San Antonio. Lots of people... The fireworks were really good. Now we're back "home" and resting. I was able to get a short nap, which left me feeling groggy for a long time. Now I feel awake and it's about bed time. A great day and looking forward to more great days this next week. Another Fireworks story

I just read TAPS entry about the safety of fireworks, in the past. In Mexico safety is still not an issue when itcomes to fireworks. My son Gideon almost went blind because he got hit inthe eye by a bottle rocket. He was sitting on top of our van and thensomeone shot off the bottle rocket. Next thing, I heard, "It hitme". I realized then that our kids were the only ones who knewEnglish. I think his eye was shut, but the impact caused it to bleed and itlooked blind. He could only see shapes from... We are in Texas!

I am at my son, David's and daughter-in-law's. We arrived at midnight last night (Texas time). The drive was pretty boring, and took 15 hours actual driving time. I ended up driving the whole way because the 2 other drivers stayed up till midnight the night before and by the time I would have needed them to drive they were tired. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
