On The Road

On the road for me means going out of the office and doing all the work stuff downtown Port of Spain, Trinidad. Its a hot and dusty town with little by way of nice places to relax in. It wasn't always like this but bad government and poor economics have done it. I'm going to buy cigarettes. I'm... Sign in to see full entry.

It Does Happen

It does happen. I won about seventy five dollars in the coin casino and spent it all on groceries. It comes to me now that you can go into a casino with twenty dollars and put five dollars into four five cent machines and win a good bit more. I did that yesterday and with one five dollars won about... Sign in to see full entry.

Entire Day In Town

Downtown Port of Spain, Trinidad, in the southern Caribbean is not known as the most entertaining or even the most comfortable place in this world. In fact, it is the opposite. Very few places to relax in and you can't smoke in bars thanks to the recent Tobacco Bill. It has more than a fair share of... Sign in to see full entry.

The Shark Scene

So now its the shark scene. Yesterday I went and bought my shark meat in a depot on Charlotte Street in Port of Spain. This street is traditionally a slum street of sorts in this city of Port of Spain and there are a multitude of small shops and stores and groceries and other things like that, not... Injustice

There is a story in the internet news I read just now about a girl " Diaz " who was sentenced to 17 years in prison to life for being an accessory to a murder. She didn't commit the actual murder and the murder wasn't intended. She merely worked as a set up for a robbery that went wrong. Very wrong... Sign in to see full entry.

The Guy Who Loved Chess

I used to have this friend ( he passed away a few years ago ) who loved to play chess. For him it was a fascinating game. When he discovered I could play it he frequently invited me to his home to play but in those days I wasn't always in the mood and only did it to indulge him and he sensed this... The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago

I just saw the Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago. As I was leaving the Immigration Dept. on Frederick Street in Port of Spain, Trinidad there he was surrounded by a ton of security shaking hands and entering the building. He's a young guy and a professional and highly placed attorney who was a... Sign in to see full entry.

Rainy Morning

Its a rainy morning in Port of Spain, Trinidad. My glasses frosted as I got out of the car at church this morning. I got wet on my way to work. Now that I am here in this office its cool and the day looks like its going to be a mostly wet day. I have a fair amount of work today. We have two ships... Sign in to see full entry.

Unbelievable Experience

I just had an unbelievable experience. I'm waiting for my partner to bring some cash for me and I'm totally broke. I've run out of cigarettes, I've had only one small plastic pack of artificial potato chips to eat for the day, I haven't smoked for about two or more hours, and the guy bringing me the... Now This Is It

I did, just now, go into the casino across the street and lost eight dollars. They had no one in the kitchen and, I guess, no food, so I couldn't even get a sandwich which I asked for. The idea was to go there, buy time on a machine I like and have a sandwich for lunch. So, no food prepared in the... Sign in to see full entry.
