I must have seemed an alien to my daughter.
I think I understood fully my daughter's sensitivity when she was about four. We were in the alley behind our house talking with our neighbor as we returned from an evening walk. As we said goodbye to the neighbor I turned and scooted towards the house. Saying "see you at home!" Boy did she scream!...
