Luck of the Syrians!
Just as I thought the worst was over, nature and luck seemed to give me the tumbs down: it snowed here in Lattakia on Thursday and they had to bring bulldozers to clear the road connecting the city to the main seaside resort! We also had a mild earthquake, I might be the only one to have noticed it but in Lebannon it caused a lot of damage and several people were killed, the old folks say that Latakia was destroyed 7 times by earthquakes so we were luck to get away with a passing shiver.
