SENRYU (a birthday haiku, more accurately senryu)

NOTE: Senryu usually refers to haiku that are not about Nature, but haiku that include human references or emotions are called senryu. This one is for a special person's birthday. The modern style will allow for fewer than 17 syllables (total) and I would have omitted the words "but your" in L2. I... Sign in to see full entry.
