WE'RE STILL LOOKING FOR THE SECRET DOOR

We went out for another walk tonight. It was the perfect night for it. I was not at all surprised when our five year old once more made it clear we were looking for the secret door still. I have a feeling that is a quest that may never end. He really does seem to have my imgination and I very much... Sign in to see full entry.

THE MORNING CONFLICT

So today my wife and I are awakened by our five year old climbing into our bed and surprising us. Normally we have to wake him up. The time he came into our room was earlier than we normally wake him up during the week How can it be that during the week you can not get the kids up, while on the... Sign in to see full entry.

WELL, NOW THE OTHER ONE IS SICK

At least this time neither my wife nor I have to miss a day of work. Even if I still had a job, this would be my day off. So far he has not had as high a fever as his brother and has yet to throw-up. So it looks like he will spend the day on the couch watching TV and sleeping. Being three years... Sign in to see full entry.

THE POOR LITTLE GUY IS SICK AGAIN

One of the hardest parts of being a parent is when the child gets sick. And their younger they are the worse it feels. Right now out two year old is sick. And there really is little we can do for him. Yesterday my wife had to come home from work early because he had a fever. I was downstairs at the... Sign in to see full entry.

WHY DOES HE EVEN HAVE A BED?

Our two year old has started to sleep on the floor nightly now. It all started with him trying to get into bed with us and when we wouldn’t let him he would just camp out right next to our bed on the floor. Then in the last few weeks he just started sleeping on the floor in his room. We put him in... Sign in to see full entry.

STILL LOOKING FOR THE SECRET MAGIC DOOR

When Xeno_x was out here his wife gave our son a Lego set. Well the other night I figured it would be a good experience for him to learn how to read the instructions and was there helping him put the set together, but leaving it mostly up to him to do. He did real well. In the instruction booklet... Sign in to see full entry.

THE LONG NIGHT OF THE CAT

So last night we were getting ready for bed. Outside the living room window we heard the soft meowing of a cat. I figured I would go and check it out and make sure the creature was fine. It did not sound panic, but it come of as pleading to me and i figure maybe the thing was stuck in our window... Sign in to see full entry.

AND SO IT BEGINS

My son enjoyed his first day of Kindergarten. So far it looks like it should go well. Our only concerned came from a comment that was made by the teacher at lunch time. We do not really know what was going on but I guess our son and his friends were acting, well like little boys, and the teacher... Sign in to see full entry.

MY LITTLE BOY STARTS SCHOOL TOMORROW

My son starts Kindergarten tomorrow. He is growing up. I guess it is one of those landmarks you have to be ready for as a parent. My wife's daycare does a Kindergarten program, so we are having him go there for it. So it will not be a big change for him now. He'll still just go with my wife to work... HOW TO BOND WITH YOUR CHILD

Some of the shows I end up watching when running Discovery Health can be amusing. A woman claimed that she was going to be able to better bond with her child due to the method she chose to give birth by. I keep hearing all this junk of various things you can do right after birth to make the child... Sign in to see full entry.
